Gruhapravesha/House warming is a ceremony that is done before shifting to a new house to cleanse the place from all the evil forces. All this pooja and homa helps to bring good fortune.
Gruhapravesha Pooja Procedure:
As per Kannada paddati first day evening, Vastu Rakshogana Homa and Vastu Bali are performed to remove all the Vastu doshas that are existing in the house due to the construction works, and next day morning after pravesha all the other poojas are continued.
Gruhapravesha Ceremony starts with purohits chanting mantras to purify the new house, Gau Pooja is performed, Then Gruha Pravesham is done, then milk boiling ceremony starts after which Ganesha pooja, Maha Sankalpam and Punyaha Vachanam and then Ganapathi Homa, Lakshmi Kubera Homa, Navagraha Homa, and Vastu Mantra Japa & Homa will be performed by invoking the corresponding Lord as per Shastras and Vidhana.
Things to Remember:
Pooja Samagries like Arshina, Kumkum, Mango leaves, Tulasi, Darba, Kalasha, Vastra, Navadhanya, Beetle Leaves, Beetle Nuts, Homam Sticks, Samidha, Dravyas, Ghee, etc. will be brought by us. Yajaman has to keep house items like the Gas stove, Vessels, Oil Lamps, Mats, Bowls, Plates, Photos, etc. You will be receiving a to-do list as soon as you book the pooja.
When to Perform Gruhapravesha Pooja?
The date can be fixed as per the Rashi Nakshatra of the Male head and Female head of the family, or the owner of the new house.
